Bridal Shower

It’s that time of year.  So many weddings…engagements.  I feel like there are always new bridal registries to create at the shop.  I love it though!
Over the weekend, my Mama hosted a bridal shower for one of our friends.  It turned out absolutely gorgeous.  She put so much work in to it, and it showed.  The food was delicious, the flowers were breathtaking.  Everything seemed so light and airy…perfect for spring.
The cucumber dill tea sandwiches were my very favorite.  The dill weed made them extra delicious.  They are my new favorite treat for summer as they are so refreshing!  Here’s the recipe.
Cucumber Dill Tea Sandwiches
  • 1 8oz package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 Tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1/4 teaspoon dill weed
  • 1/4 teaspoon real salt
  • 2-3 cucumbers, washed, peeled, sliced
  • 1 loaf sandwich bread
  • Extra dill for garnish
Beat cream cheese until smooth. Add mayo, dill weed and real salt and mix.

Cut circles out of loaf bread with a round cookie cutter (I simply cut a slice of bread in to squares the day after the party because I was lazy.  Not quite as pretty, but it tastes the same.) Spread the cream cheese mixture over the bread. Add a cucumber slice and garnish with fresh dill.

Happy Tuesday, Y’all!
Stay Tuned!
