Take Every Part…

Lyrics via Ron Hamilton

Happy Tuesday, Friends!  I hope y’all are having a great week so far.  I also hope that some of you are enjoying these weekly posts on faith.  I know they are random, but they are really a journey through my faith.  We never know what we will feel from day to day or what may come about week after week, so I hope that these little lessons I’m learning along the way will touch someone else.  You never know how what you share may speak to another in a special way.
The lyrics of this song are so powerful.  This is one of my favorites.  I have so often worked myself up over a situation that I never needed to.  For instance, I allow it to take away time from what truly matters…I think about it so much that I become fearful, and the fear ends up taking away time from the things I should be focusing on and giving my attention to.  There are so many verses on fear and how we should refrain from it.  Although that is much easier said than done, I love reading some of these verses as a reminder not to fear (Isaiah 41:10, Psalm 56:3, Psalm 34:4).  “Here’s my life, take every part…” is the line of this song that I love the most.  It is a reminder to let go and let God.  Remembering this, along with so many of God’s promises to us, relieves the fear and helps me remember who is in control!  Because remember we are to “Run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus…” (Hebrews 12:1-2).  How can we do that if we are filled with fear?  The lesson I take away from this is to remember God already has whatever you’re stressing about already worked out.  Say, Here’s my life, Lord, take every part and rest in that, trust in Him, and He will go before you and make the crooked placed straight.
Delightfully Yours,
