Happy Wednesday! I hope y’all have been having a good week so far! If you know me, you know that I love a good animal print (especially leopard). When I ordered this dress, I didn’t even notice that it is a NAVY animal print, instead of the black that you would normally see. I guess the statement “navy is the new black” holds true for this dress 🙌🏻 When it came and I saw how perfectly it paired with my navy suede pumps and my navy Tory Burch York Tote, I was so excited! I love how the dress pretty much sets the tone for navy + gold. It’s absolutely perfect! It runs true to size and is only $57. I wore this look to church on Sunday, but it is also the perfect business chic look. I’m completely in love with it! I mean how often do you come across a navy animal printed dress 😍
This week seems to be dragging. Madeline, my Mama and I have a weekend getaway planned this weekend, and I’m so excited, even if that means I’ll be taking all of my textbooks and notes with me. I have been so busy with school in the early early mornings. I try to get a good bit in before Madeline wakes up and we start the day together. She usually takes an afternoon nap around 3 every day, and with the afternoon rain showers hitting around five, I haven’t been able to get any shoots in. But yesterday, I was so thankful that the rain held off and we were able to snap a few pictures. Two of the main lessons I have taken away from the past few weeks of balancing being a mama, doing a full load of classes online, and managing my blog is that a sticking to a schedule is key. I always like to write down my goals for the day and the times I plan to do them (and also how long I allow myself to do them). The second lesson I’ve taken away is not to get stressed when I can’t finish something at the time or in the amount of time I had planned. I just remember that it will get done in some way. And that is my rambling for the day 😊
