Recent Outfits Seen On My Instagram + A Little Bit Of Inspiration

Happy Wednesday, Friends! Every so often, I like to share some snaps from my Instagram, featuring looks that have not been on my blog. These are usually my OOTDs that are what I wear for the day (usually, because some days it’s just impossible to get dressed haha). I know that not all of my readers have an Instagram and some don’t like to use “Like to know it” so this is a great way to find all of the details on the looks that I post 🙂 Also, continue scrolling down to the end of this post for a little bit of inspiration for your day.

A little bit of inspiration for your day

So over the weekend, I was just thinking about how very thankful I am. Madeline and I were curled up on the couch on a chilly, rainy day, and she was just talking away. It is the absolute most adorable thing because she jibber jabbers and then you’ll hear a word come out of her mouth that is as plain as day! She has actually started to “communicate” and make sense of what she’s trying to say (even saying little sentences at times), and it just melts my heart. Anyways, I was sitting there and feeling so. very. blessed. that I am her mama. All I could do was smile and say “Thank you, Lord. Thank you for making me Madeline’s mama.” It is in instances like this where I feel the Lord’s presence and can only beam with joy over his love and faithfulness for his children. He is so very faithful. I then started to think about how she is growing up so fast. My heart kind of sank just realizing how tiny she was a year ago. But then I quickly thought about how much fun each and every stage has been with her. It continues to get more and more fun each day, and the joy she brings to me seems to multiply by the day.
I say all of this, because my devotion this morning (absolutely love this devotional) truly hit home with this feeling I was having. It is so easy to look back on the past at times we wish we could change due to regret or times we cherish so much that we wish we could re-live them. Whether in good times or bad, it truly is amazing to trace the journey that the Lord has brought you on and look at all of the ways He has been so faithful to you. I look at the good times and the bad times, negative emotions and positive ones, and I can always point out the Lords presence and blessings that have come from each one and brought me to where I am now. Even looking back over the last two years, goodness my heart just bursts with joy, and I feel a peaceful presence that is only possibly through the knowing my Savior. Through learning patients and simply to trust, it is amazing to sit back and watch where the Lord will take you.
Do you ever feel this way? Do you ever look back and count upward to the present to just take in all of the ways the Lord has been faithful to you? For me, it is a constant reminder to of of how He will never leave us nor forsake us and how in the midst of all that is going on in life, His “comforts delight my soul.” There is always so much to be thankful for 🙂
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Delightfully Yours,

  1. In an 8 month span of time my long term relationship ended unexpectedly, both my parents died unexpectedly and I lost my job unexpectedly. I was devastated, crushed, lost, bewildered and totally out done. I thought I would died. I'm an only child who had to carry the weight of it all. Now that 20 months or so has passed since these life blows, the dust and grief are settling, I can see again. I'm blessed. I'm a child of the most high sovereign in the universe. He gave me life, he gave strength, he gave me hope, then he carried me when I was too weak to stand on my own. We have so much to be thankful and appreciative of. We take it all for granted at times. My heart still hurts but not all the time I have my life. I can use my life to help others. Then when I'm reunited with my parents I can tell them all of what I did in God's strength and time. We can have a glorious reunion. As 2017 is on the horizon new things are happening for me already. I'm moving this weekend, I'll be in a new congregation, new friends and associates, new home, new job and I'm nervous but excited. I know it will be good for me. Yes Rachel we are blessed in so many ways. Thank you again for sharing spiritual encouragement hun. I always loved that. Some are scared to share their faith but our faith is US! Its who we are, continue to share it. The world needs hope and healing. ♥♥♥

  2. Tracey…wow, what an inspiration you are, my friend! Your faith through everything you have been through certainly is an inspiration to so many! What strength you have! Sending prayers are good vibes your way as you move and start this new job. Remember that God will never give you more than you can handle, and he will be your strength! P.S. If you get a chance, check out the book "Just Enough Light for the Step I'm On" by Stormie Omartian. It got me through some really tough times and has meant so much to me! I think you'd love it 🙂
