Happy Tuesday, Friends! Today’s post is featuring some of my current favorites in the athletic wear department. If you’ve read some of my posts over the past few months or have listened to me ramble via Instagram stories, you may have heard that I had to take a wellness course for school over the summer. I put off my wellness courses, and here I am now, two semesters away from graduating, having to squeeze them in on top of the classes I’m taking for my program. Anyways, over the summer, I took a fitness course which alternated days of weight training and cardio. It put me in great routine of (attempting) to get on a steady workout schedule. My days in the gym aren’t always promising as it is difficult to make it to the gym with Madeline. But, I have been able to make it to the walking track as this is something I can do while pushing her in a stroller. That, my friends, is where the activity I am starting today ties in and is why I decided to post about a few of my current favorites. Next, I’m going to talk about some of these pieces for a bit. But at the end of the post, I’ll share just why I’m featuring this post today
I decided to share these pieces above since several are ones I have been loving! First off, you simply cannot beat Zella leggings. I have been long-time fan of Zella athletic wear. It’s by far my favorite brand of workout clothing. I purchased these leggings during the Anniversary Sale and am about to purchase them in grey as well. They’re high waisted (i.e. they suck you in) and are the softest things ever.
Next, this scallop sports bra!!! Have you ever seen such a daring sports bra?! I just ordered it in the navy and cannot wait for it to arrive!
Another tried and true item featured above that motivates me on the daily is my Fitbit Alta. I absolutely love this thing. Investing in a Fitbit is really what got me going and active after I had Madeline.
I also can’t do without my S’well bottle. I have two and use them all the time. They keep cold drinks cold for up to 24 hours and hot drinks hot for up to 12 hours.
And the last item from above that I want to mention are these sneakers. They arrived yesterday, and I’m already in love. I have been trying to purchase them for weeks! Each time my size would come back in stock, they’d sell out before I could hit “purchase”. Well, the other day, I saw where another one of my favorite stores got them in! I purchased them right away. They’re the most comfortable things ever and the shade of pink is sooo pretty. They’re still available in lots of sizes here. I did go down half a size as they run large.
Alright now for a little about why I am sharing this post today. Well, today I start my second (and last) wellness course that I have to take. At the gym where Madeline and I walk, nine out of ten times we walk at the same time the game of pickleball is going on. Have y’all every heard of pickleball?? From the first time I watched it while walking, I thought it looked like so much fun. It’s a combination of table tennis, tennis and badminton. Madeline and I have watched it at the gym where we walk so many times that Madeline can now point out the game in a heartbeat.
When I was signing up for my wellness courses, I saw that pickleball was an option. Of course, I’ve never played the game. I really know nothing about it other than the fact that it looks like tons of fun. But it kind of holds a special place in my heart? I know that sounds strange, but it’s a game I’ve been watching for as long as I’ve been walking with Madeline at the gym go to…ever since she was teeny tiny. It always makes me think of our time together walking. So just in case you haven’t guessed it by now, yes, I’m taking pickleball for my second wellness course haha. I sat on the wait list for this class for months, and when I saw that I had gotten in, you better believe I did a happy dance! The first class is today, and I’m pretty excited 🙂 That’s why I thought it would be fun to share a few of my favorite athletic pieces that I will be wearing to class this semester.
Have you ever heard of pickleball? Have you ever played the game? I’d love to know! I’ve heard that its super fun and the most difficult part is keeping score.
Thanks for stopping by!
Delightfully Yours,
