Hi Friends and happy Wednesday! Today I am so excited to share some photos from our Mother’s Day. This is the third year that we have carried on the tradition of matching in Lilly Pulitzer for Mother’s Day. It’s something I always look forward to. I chose matching prints for Madeline and myself, and my Mama chooses a Lilly dress that coordinates with us. I just love it and hope we can continue on with this little tradition for forever 🙂
This year, Madeline and I matched in the print “Boho Bateau” and I think it is without a doubt one of my all time favorites. I absolutely love the combination of the shades of blue and pink. But what I love even more is the Devina Dress!!! It is probably my favorite style Lilly dress that I’ve ever worn! I mean, those ruffle sleeves! Every single detail is amazing, and I love the fit. I’d say it runs TTS (wearing a 0, for reference). I was a little worried about the length and thought I may have to have it altered, but it ended up being perfect (I’m 5’2). Madeline is wearing the Mini Harper Dress. What I love so much about this dress is that it washes so easily and doesn’t have to be ironed. Such an easy dress that she can be comfortable in. My gorgeous Mama is wearing the Leigh Shift Dress. The detailing of this one is simply amazing. I look at my Mama and can’t believe how stunning she is!
This was such a special Mother’s Day for many reasons. I first off have to mention that I love seeing my Mama’s face here on Something Delightful. She is usually the one behind the camera in all of my posts, so I love being able to see her face on here. Y’all always tell me that you want to see more of her, and I try to get her on here more often. But I can’t begin to say just how so very thankful I am for her. She is my biggest supporter and encourager. Whether it’s with my blog, getting through school or just daily shenanigans, she is always there to offer me sound advice that I know I can 100% trust. She is my best friend, and she holds such a special place in my heart. I am just so very grateful for her and for our fun adventures as the “Three M’s” (Mimi, Mama and Madeline) 🙂
This was also such a special Mother’s Day for me, because I graduated on Friday on Mother’s Day weekend. When I started my program, I would have never guessed that I would graduate on Mother’s Day weekend. That made things even more special to me. It’s safe to say that I completed most of my program with Madeline in my lap 🙂 The Lord carried me through each and every step of the way. I always look at the “little things” that He puts before us that I truly believe are His way of reminding us of just how great His love is for us. Graduating on Mother’s Day weekend was definitely one of those for me. Weeks ago when I realized that was how the timing would work out, I was brought to tears and immediately reminded of the Lord’s mercy and goodness. And especially how He has cared for me and Madeline and brought us through. That was one of the reasons why this Mother’s Day was so special for me.
And of course, I am so very thankful that I have the privilege of being Madeline’s Mama. This sweet girl has changed me to be such a better person. She has taught me to sit back and enjoy the little things in life. Her little smile and laugh are the most contagious ones I have ever seen. She is pure joy. And what a gift it is to be her mama.
I hope y’all have an amazing Wednesday! Thank you so much for stopping by.
Delightfully Yours,
