Happy Wednesday, friends! I hope y’all have had a great week so far. Today I’m so excited to share a color combined that I’m absolutely loving. I have always been a pink and green girl. But I have never thought to wear it into the fall. I found this adorable fall pink and green dress for Madeline and absolutely fell in love with it! I think it’s perfect for now, and when it gets a little cooler out, I plan to layer it with an olive green vest, tights and booties. It’s the most precious thing and of course she loves the elephants! However, it sparked an idea for a fun mommy and me look.
Just before I had found the dress for Madeline, I had purchased this olive green slip dress for myself. Y’all this cutie is only $24!! I love a good slip dress to layer with cardigans for fall. When Madeline’s dress came in, I loved the way both my dress and hers looked together. I then came across this sweet light pink cardigan. Trust me when I say that you need this one in your life! It’s so cozy and only $35!  I absolutely adore my dress and cardigan paired with her little dress. And of course I added in my very favorite pair of booties. I still can’t get over the cuteness of these ruffle + blush ones. As for sizing, my slip dress does run a little small, so I recommend going up one size in this ons (wearing a size 2, for reference) and my cardigan runs TTS (wearing a size XS).
Here’s a fun tip when putting together mommy and me looks! First find a fun printed piece for your little one. This dress Madeline is wearing here is a great example. If it is a busy print with multiple colors in it, then you’re on the right track! Then pull a few of the colors in your little one’s printed piece to create your own coordinating look. For example, I chose light pink and olive green from her dress to create my own look. Here’s another example. This dress has great colors for your little. You could take the mustard yellow color (like this scarf) and pair it with jeans and a ivory cardigan to create a fun coordinating look for yourself. This is also helpful if you’re planning any family photos anytime soon.
Also, if y’all have any fun fall craft ideas, I’d love to hear! We were stuck inside over the weekend with lots of rain. Madeline loves to play outside, so we had to find fun things to do inside. I pulled out my old box with all of the fun crafts I used to do when I was little. One in particular is this bead craft. Did y’all ever do these?! My sister and I loved making them, and Madeline and I had so much fun with them over the weekend. Anyways, we went to Hobby Lobby yesterday and found some really fun, festive crafts to make. I also found a more updated version of the bead crafts (that’s not 20+ years old haha). If y’all have any fun crafts to share, I’d love to hear about them! Also, would y’all be interested in a blog post on fun crafts to do with your kids?
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great Wednesday.
Delightful Yours,
