Happy Sunday, everyone!
As I mentioned before, I have been wanting to share some other types of posts. I know that my blog is mainly a fashion blog, but I often forget to acknowledge that it is also a lifestyle blog. I want to share more of the things that are meaningful to my life and hope to post on this type of idea once a week, if possible. I hope you enjoy this post.
Back in October, I was given the book, Just Enough Light for the Step I’m On by Stormie Omartian. I began to read it, but it wasn’t until some time later that I actually began to read it. I just want to say that it has touched my life in so many ways, and I highly recommend it. Through reading this book, I have realized that reading God’s Word really does offer us just enough light for the step we’re on (I will go into more detail on what I mean by this in the posts to come). I have also learned what it truly means to meditate on the Scriptures, spend time with God, and go beyond the facts of God by knowing Him in a more personal way.
I feel as though I have never taken God’s Word to heart as I should have. Over the past few months (and especially knowing that I have a daughter on the way), I have come to realize what it means to truly trust in God’s Word. I know that I must do this not only for my own well-being, but also that I may show my daughter and exemplify to her what it truly means to walk in God’s light. This book I’m recommending quotes one of my favorite verses in the first chapter:
I will bring the blind by a way they did not know;
I will lead them in paths they have not known.
I will make the darkness light before them,
And crooked places straight.
These things I will do for them,
And not forsake them.
-Isaiah 42:16
This book has shown me that God does not have us follow a light. He has us follow Him. And He becomes our light (John 8:12).
I hope you’ve enjoyed this post! Talking about some of my favorite points in this book, the Scriptures I’m currently focusing on, and the things I’m learning are what I want to share in the posts to come. 🙂
Have a great day and stay tuned!

I've very much enjoyed working thru She Reads Truth's Bible in a Year Plan. You get a little bit to reflect on everyday.
