Me: Turtleneck Sweater // Black Denim // Black Hunter Boots // Similar Tory Burch Bag // Black Tassel Earrings C/O // Coin Necklace // Gold Bangles
Hello friends and happy Thursday! Today I’m so excited to be sharing one of my all-time favorite mommy and me looks. Dressing for the winter isn’t always fun, but coordinating my looks with Madeline’s makes quite a difference.
A few things about what we’re wearing: I found this darling swing sweater for Madeline at a children’s boutique but was so happy to see that Amazon has it as well. If you have a little girl in your life, get her this sweater! I promise you won’t be disappointed. It’s the cutest thing and is so warm. It comes in sizes for both babies and toddlers plus a bunch of colors. I just ordered the pink for her as well since I love it so much. The sweater I’m wearing here is great to pair with leggings since it’s long. I have it on with black jeans here, but love the way it looks with leggings as well.
Madeline loves her Hunter Boots more than any other shoe in her closet. It has been this way ever since she started loving Peppa Pig a little over a year ago because if you know anything about Peppa, you know that “If you jump in muddy puddles, you must wear your boots!” 🙂 It was a bit bittersweet last year when you outgrew all of her Hunters. The good thing is that I was able to sell them and buy her some pairs for this year! I got her a red pair and a green pair back in the fall. One thing Madeline likes to do is wear them with her dress up costumes. Santa brought her Elsa and Anna costumes for Christmas, and when she put on her Anna costume with her green boots she looked at me with a confused face and said “Mama, Anna wears black boots” haha. I had received a black pair as a Christmas gift, so naturally I had to get a matching black pair for Madeline. One thing about buying her Hunter boots this time of the year is that they will fit her for spring as well. She’s in between two sizes right now, so I went up to the next size with this pair (and a pink pair I just ordered for her). With it being so cold, she wears plush socks with hers now and they will fit perfectly with lighter socks by the spring time. Just a little tip on making them last longer for all you mamas!
Since Madeline loves wearing her Hunters, that means I get to wear mine more often as well. If she wears hers, she automatically expects me to wear mine. I used to think that it was silly to wear Hunter boots if it isn’t raining. But boy has this changed with having Madeline, and I don’t mind it one bit! I love wearing them on cold winter days with warm socks. What I love more is matching in them with her.
I can’t believe how much I just rambled about Hunter boots haha, but when you’re a mama and it involves your child, there’s lots to go on and on about! In other news, Madeline started potty training last weekend, and I am so so proud of her! I can’t believe how easy it was. I’m not going to lie, I was a little scared at first. Last Friday was the first day she wore panties for the entire day. Here we are almost a week later with only two accidents to report haha. She has done SO well and has made this whole potty training adventure seem so easy. There are definitely a few things that helped her prepare to potty train along the way and a couple of other things that tremendously helped her once she started potty training. It seems a little bittersweet that I won’t be buying those darling Honest diapers any longer, but overall I’m just so proud of my growing girl. If you mamas would be interested on a lengthier post with what has worked for us and helped us potty train, let me know and I will put one together. This post is already getting too lengthy 🙂
Thanks so much for stopping by, sweet friends! Have an amazing Thursday!
Delightfully Yours,
