Easy Crockpot Barbecue Chicken (Multiple ways to serve)
Hi friends! I’m back today with another easy crockpot recipe that we love to make. It makes life a lot easier to be able to throw some things in the crockpot around lunchtime, leave it cooking all day and have a delicious hot meal ready to enjoy for dinner. I especially enjoy a good chicken recipe, because you can really prep a healthy meal.
Today I’m sharing an easy barbecue chicken that’s a favorite of ours. My favorite part about this recipe is that there are multiple ways to serve it. You can leave the chicken breasts as is and serve with a side of whole grain rice and broccoli. After cooked, you can also shred the chicken, serve on a bun (I’ll show my favorite healthier option below), serve on a bed of lettuce as a salad or serve on King Hawaiian rolls as sliders for a get-together. I also love freezing what we have left over in small amounts to pull out for lunches. Really, so many options for this one! Let’s get started 🙂 Oh and if you like to see visuals, like I do, I’ll be sharing a reel featuring this recipe to my Instagram.
What You’ll Need:
2 lbs. of boneless chicken breast (For a faster prep, if you for sure want to shred the chicken, use shredded rotisserie chicken, and cut the cook time in half as you’ll only need to cook in the flavors).
Salt & Pepper to desired amount
1/4 cup of brown sugar
1 cup of barbecue sauce (my favorite is sweet baby rays)
1/4 cup of Italian dressing
1 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce
