Hi friends! I’m back today with an easy dinner idea If I hear “crock pot”, sign me up haha! I’m all for something easy that I can throw together in the morning and leave cooking all day. Today’s may not be for everyone, but we personally LOVE beef stroganoff. And it’s a hit in our family! I feel like it’s especially great for colder days. It’s pretty simple as well. Madeline is a picky eater, and she really enjoys this dish, so if you have picky little ones, I’d say give it a shot Let’s get started!
Here’s what you’ll need:
2 pounds of stew meat
Garlic Salt to liking
A little salt + pepper
2 Tablespoons of minced Garlic
1 cup of onions chopped
1 cup chopped mushrooms
1 packet of Onion Soup Mix
2 cans of cream of mushroom soup
2 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce
Fill one of the soup cans up with water to add
1 Cup Sour Cream
1 package Egg Noodles
Step One: Place stew meat in crock pot
Step Two: Sprinkle on garlic salt, salt and pepper
Step Three: Add in minced garlic
Step Four: Toss in chopped onion
Step Five: Add in mushrooms
Step Six: Pour in Onion Soup Mix Packet
Step Seven: Give it a good stir
Step Eight: Add Cream of Mushroom Soup
Step Nine: Add in Worcestershire Sauce
Step Ten: Pour in water
Step Eleven: Stir well then cook on low for 5-6 hours
Step Twelve: After cooking on low for 5-6 hours, stir in egg noodles + Sour Cream and cook for an additional 10-15 minutes (or until egg noodles are fully cooked). You can also cook noodles on stovetop, then serve crockpot mixture over the noodles.
Then enjoy! This recipe is also great with 2 lbs. of cooked ground beef. We like to eat ours with a side of asparagus (baked with a little olive oil, salt, pepper and parmesan cheese). That’s it!
