Patriotic Charcuterie Board
Hi friends! Hannah and I were saying just last week at the beach that it’s been forever (St. Patrick’s Day to be exact) that we’ve put together one of our fun themed charcuterie boards. We had so many fun ones planned: spring, Easter, a bday themed one, Mother’s Day, but life happened and before we knew it, here we are to July 4th! Crazy right?! I’m still in disbelief that we’re into July. It feels like we just hit May yesterday. We had however been planning one for a patriotic get together for some baseball watching and just hanging out by the pool, ya know getting ready for celebrating on Monday and all haha.
With this board, it was a little tricky trying to come up with ways to make it patriotic. Of course I was looking for lots of red, white and blue to incorporate into the mix. But I’m SO pleased with how it came out. The guys pretty much devoured this board haha. I had never really thought about putting tortilla chips on a charcuterie board, however I found these red, white and blue chips to fit the theme perfectly. A side of mango was the perfect pairing. And talk about a burst of flavors in your mouth?! We kept eating a tortilla chip with mango salsa, then a wafer cracker with white cheddar cheese dipped into the pepper jelly, followed by a chocolate covered cherry and yogurt pretzel. It was such a delicious pairing! I’ll share some photos then a list of everything we put on the board. Oh and these mini paper mache letters served as the perfect patriotic trail mix dishes. I just used a knife to cut the tops off. And if you want to see a reel of this board coming to life, be sure to check out my Instagram.
If this board inspires you to try it (or even some of these elements) out, please tag me over on IG (@racheltimmerman). I’d love to see 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!
