Beach & Summer Necessities from Walmart
Hi friends! Happy official first day of summer 🙂 We’re currently spending time at my favorite place ever, New Smyrna Beach. Being here for a few weeks means lots of beach time and fun in the sun. I had to stock up on a few beach necessities I always like to have on hand and also found some really awesome must-haves along the way. Since Walmart is my go-to shopping destination for literally everything haha, I knew they’d have just what we needed for our summer fun. Whether it’s home, beauty or fashion, Walmart has you covered! All of the outdoor games imaginable, home patio finds, beauty must-haves, Walmart has it all. I found some really nifty finds for the sun that I’m excited to share with y’all today, along with some tried and true products as well. I think y’all are going to love what I have to share today, so let’s get started.
This under $20 beach mat has been amazing to have for our beach days. I’m always carrying a lot down to the beach. This mat is foldable, light weight and comfortable (it has padding). It’s easy to fold out and pack back up (has velcro straps to close it up). It even has a storage pocket in the back that I like to put our sunscreen in. There are so many nifty features to this find, and I just love it! It’s so much easier to carry down than a beach chair.
I had been eyeing this ADORABLE cooler for some time and finally decided to purchase it from Walmart. Is it not the cutest?! It’s a great size for everything Madeline and I need for our fun in the sun. It holds a lot but isn’t super big or bulky. The color is the prettiest shade of pink. Also, it has the cutest pink/white stripe strap thats adjustable, making it to be carried on your shoulder or even cross-body. There are latches on the sides to secure the cooler closed. I absolutely love this find!
Fun Pool Float and Beach Ball:
Being able to cool off in the ocean is a must. How adorable is this float?! Walmart has an entire collection of the cutest pool floats right now. This one even has confetti inside! Madeline has loved it. We also got this super cute beach ball. It’s pretty big, which makes it extra fun IMO.
Lavender $15 wireless speaker…need I say more?! We love playing our favorite music during our beach days. I found this one on Walmart and it’s great!! Easy to operate, really well-made, great sound and it’s the prettiest shade of lavender. It also comes in green and blue.
If you’re going to have your phone anywhere near the water, a waterproof phone pouch is a must! Walmart has this one for just $4. I love the shade of green too. It protects your phone from water damage, so you can still snap those cute memories by the water. If you don’t have one of these, you’ll be so glad you grabbed one. It also really came in handy on our cruise (it’s how I was able to get all of our underwater snorkeling photos).
With all of the swimming, Madeline’s hair begins to show it! The salt water and chlorine pool are both so rough on her hair. She also has a super sensitive scalp when it comes to brushing out tangles. All of that to say, a leave-in conditioner is a must! I found this one on Walmart and it works wonders. It has her hair going from tangles to smooth brushing in a matter of seconds. It smells SO good too. We have tried a lot of them, but this one works so well.
I’ve had this cup for a few months, and I now have it in two colors. I couldn’t do summer without it 🙂 It’s my favorite cup of all time! It’s 40 oz., has a handle, comes with a matching straw and is available in several colors. I also have it in pink. It keeps my ice from melting and drink cool for hours on end. When not using the straw, you can close up the lid and it becomes spill-proof. These cups on Walmart are awesome!
Fun-in-the-Sun Games:
I also stocked up on some fun games for us from Walmart. This velcro ball game has been a favorite for a few years now. It’s so satisfying to play! I truly think this one is enjoyed by all ages 🙂 We also got this Googly toss game. It’s basically fidgets meets corn toss. It’s a blast and a great beach game.
I found these super cute beach towels on Walmart! You can order any embroidered initial for a personalized touch. They are the prettiest shade of blue. What’s so great about these is that they are sand resistant AND are really fast-drying/don’t hold sand in them. They’re also light-weight enough to tie them as a sarong.
My mom loves her lounge chair on the beach, so I got her this towel from Walmart! Forget chair towel clips, because this one actually goes over the back of the chair, keeping it from blowing off in the wind. It also has a side pocket to place your phone, sunscreen and any beach necessities in.
