Hello Friends! I hope y’all had an amazing weekend. Ours was filled with a lot of time spent at the pool. It has been so hot and humid out this past week, and I have a feeling that it is here to stay for a while. Anyways, the pool is the only way to spend some time outside while combatting the heat. However, as for my hair goes, I think I finally found out a way to combat the humidity! I’ll share more below.
Today’s look is featuring this gorgeous lace trim dress! It is so gorgeous that pictures simply can’t do it justice. The trim on the hem, sleeves and around the neck is simply irresistible. I also love the color. It is the prettiest neutral shade of pink that pairs very nicely with nude accessories, which I love! These under $100 nude sandals have been my go-to recently! I highly recommend having a pair like this in your closet 🙂 Back to the dress, it fits roomy, but I still went with my regular size (wearing a XS, for reference). It is under $100 and a piece that you need in your wardrobe!
As I mentioned above, I think that I have found a way to combat the humidity with my hair. My hair used to never hold curl, until I cut it short. That is one of the main reasons why I love my short hair. However, the humidity still kills it. I usually mix this Bumble and Bumble primer with the Bumble and Bumble Surf Foam Spray to keep my curls going strong. But even with this, my curls just couldn’t handle the hot, humid weather. This past week I was running a little late and decided to cut the surf foam spray and just use the primer to save time. Well somehow, my curls lasted all day with this stuff! I tried it again, and as before, they lasted all day! BUT the real test was on shoot day. Yesterday (when we shot these pictures) I decided to try it once again. It was 95 degrees with (what felt like) complete humidity. We were out for about two hours and shot four looks. And guess what? My curls lasted throughout the entire process. I was SO excited! I’m going to keep trying just the primer (especially since it is a protectant for your hair) just to see. One on my most asked questions is how do I curl my hair. I also get asked quite often for a hair tutorial. I have been meaning to do this for forever but simply don’t know where to start with filming/editing a video. A Youtube channel and filming tutorials like this is something I have always wanted to do, but I just haven’t found the time to start one. Anyways, if y’all have any tips on filming and editing videos, I’d love to hear them 🙂
Hope y’all have a happy Monday!
Delightfully Yours,
