Tacky Christmas Attire!

Last Night was the tacky Christmas sweater party, hosted by one of my Alpha Delta Pi sisters.  This is a yearly event I always look forward to.  One, for the company of sweet friends, two, for the delicious Christmas bakes goods, and three, so that I can dress up!  I simply had to bring back my Christmas bow skirt from last year and wear it again.  As I said, I put this skirt together last year, so you can find the complete tutorial here.  One thing I forgot to mention in that post is how I got the bows to stick to the skirt!  A hot glue gun and glue sticks were my best friend.  What I did different this year is I actually did wear a tacky sweater tucked in along with it.  I love my skirt, but I also didn’t want to miss out on the tacky sweater fun.  I took a tray of fudge also!  I’ll post the recipe to that below.
Milk Chocolate Fudge
  1. One can of sweetened condensed milk
  2. One 12 oz. bag of milk (or semi sweet) chocolate morsels
  3. One tsp. vanilla extract
  4. One tsp. almond extract
Mix sweetened condensed milk and chocolate morsels then put in microwave until chocolate looks melted.  Do this in intervals to prevent the mixture from burning.  Stir in flavorings then pour into an 8×8 glass pan and refrigerate.  Cut into squares then serve!

I hope you get to attend a Tacky Christmas party or some sort of function where you could wear this skirt.  It is so much fun to make and your friends will love it also.  As I did this year, I have a feeling that I’ll be bringing it back year after year.
Stay Tuned!
