Christmas parties are so fun, and although deciding what to wear can be such an exciting part, it is sometimes the most difficult. This time of year, I say wear red and feel festive. I also think sparkly. How cute is this red tassel tie blouse from Chicwish?! It is one of my current favorites. I also love the way it looks paired with a vest (see my styling on Instagram here). And this black skirt with the sparkly dots just screams festive!
As for what to take, I say be festive with this as well. Sweets are my downfall (especially chocolate). I love to get creative with sweets for this time of year. I found these Santa hat brownie bites on Pinterest, and decided to try them out with a little bit of tweaking of my own. See the directions below. They are SO yummy!
Santa Brownie Bites
What You’ll Need:
  1. Circular Brownie Bites (mine are store bought)
  2. Mascarpone Cheese
  3. Strawberries
As I said above, I bought my circular brownie bites from the grocery. I looked at three grocery stores for mascarpone cheese and had no luck, so I decided to make it myself with 16 oz. of cream cheese, 1/3 cup of sour cream, and 1/4 cup of heavy whipping cream. I also decided to add half a box of confectioners sugar for some sweetness, and I’m so glad I did! It ended up tasting like brownie cheesecake! Spread the mascarpone cheese mixture on top of the brownie bite, top that off with a strawberry (cut the leaves off so that it is flat on one side), and top the strawberry with a tiny tip of the cheese mixture to finish off the santa hat. Set them out nicely on a tray, then sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
I also thought these Santa fruit skewers were adorable! How perfect would these be for a kids party?!
Santa Fruit Skewers
What You’ll Need:

  1. Skewers (I cut mine in half)
  2. Green Grapes
  3. Bananas
  4. Strawberries
  5. Small Marshmallows
As I said above, I began with cutting my skewers in half. Then start layering on the fruit. First green grapes, next a slice of banana, then A strawberry (with the leaves cut off), lastly top the Santa hat off with a marshmallow. These are SO cute! And the combination of the fruits + the marshmallow is so yummy.
I’d love to hear what treats y’all are baking up this season. Do share!
Delightfully Yours,
