Hocus Pocus Charcuterie Snack Board

This past weekend, our family got together for our day of fall fun. We paint mini pumpkins, have Goulash for dinner, watch Halloween movies, all the fun Halloween and fall things! One movie we always watch is Hocus Pocus. It’s a favorite for me and my sister. Something else we love to do together is put together a charcuterie board for the whole family to enjoy. Hannah is basically the charcuterie board queen and has been teaching me her ways! We had been planning this board, making the Sanderson sisters out of cheese haha, and it turned out cuter than we could have ever imagined! It was actually pretty easy to do. Below the photos, I’ll share a list of everything we used on the board + a few tips that were helpful along the way. If you want to watch a video of us putting it together (I for one am a visual learner, and it always helps me to actually see), check out this reel 🙂

The Ingredients:

– Brie cheese for the faces
        – Brie cheese is definitely the easiest to work with, and is great for cutting shapes, or in this case,                   making faces haha. We did cut the crusts off and smoothed them over with a butter knife.
– Blackberries for Mary’s hair, Chorizo for Winifred’s hair and Rosemary Gouda for Sarah’s hair
        – Tooth picks will be your best friend for assembling Winifred’s hair
        – To make the curly look for her hair, simply roll each piece of chorizo, then fold it in half
– Clementine slices, green grapes and sliced strawberries for the bodies
– Purple topped cheese: Sartori Bellavitano Merlot
        – Being purple, this was a great touch for a Halloween board
– Prosciutto fingers topped with fingertips for decoration
        – These turned out so cute, and the fingertips actually worked great for pick them up with! I’m always             down for when cuteness meets functionality haha.
– Broomsticks (Reese’s cups + pretzel sticks)
        – These turned out SO cute! Madeline actually helped me make these. I always love a sweet/savory                snack.
– Black Cat: shaped out of cream cheese and topped with blackberry jam
– Orange cheese: Leicester
– Meats next to cat: Dry Salame on the right and Capocollo on the left
– First Bowl: Olive and feta salad topped with edible eyeballs
– Second Bowl: Olive tapenade
– Fruit snacks for sisters eyes + Winifred’s lips
        – For the eyes, we ended up slicing three fruit snacks in half.
        – For Winifred’s lips, two put together worked perfectly.
– Twizzlers for Mary and Sarah’s lips
        – One for Mary’s lips
        – Two basically shaped and quashed together on the ends to make a lip shape for Sarah’s
– Add little spider rings for a final touch

We were so excited with how this turned out! I’ll link the exact board we used, some of the decorations and a few more things in the widget below. If you try it one, please tag me! We would love to see 🙂
