Hello Friends! I hope y’all had a great long weekend and Labor Day! It was certainly nice to have an extra day to recuperate from all of the school assignments I had due over the weekend. We spend the day outside, and Madeline even got in the pool. However, she didn’t last long and said that it’s now too cold. I didn’t even get past the steps because to me, there’s nothing worse than a cold pool. It’s crazy how the cooler nights and mornings have already made the pool too chilly. Anyways, it was a fun day outside and ended with a cookout. Did y’all do anything fun?
I think it’s fun to ask this question every year. I feel like each year, there is a higher number of people who shy away from the “no white after Labor Day” rule. I have to admit that I used to go by it, but now I definitely think it’s the silliest rule ever. To me, you might as well say “no ice cream after Labor Day” (now that would be a joke…especially to Madeline haha). I guess it’s because every year, I fall more and more in love with my white denim. I get so much wear out of these things, and for the first time ever, I have found three pairs that I am obsessed with over this past summer. I may take a slight break from them around the months of October and November as I like to get adjusted into wearing my denim more. But you better believe that I’ll continue to enjoy my white denim, well after Labor Day. Now that my rant is over haha, do y’all stick to this rule? Or do you love wearing your white all year round?
This leads me to talking about today’s look. I think olive, white and gold (plus the pop of leopard) has become my new favorite color combination! It’s such a fun statement. I got this sweater vest a few weeks ago after eyeing it for forever! Lilly had a similar one last year, and I waited too late to purchase it. When I saw it was back in an almost identical style this year, I knew it had to be mine. Y’all, the styling options are endless for this versatile piece! Wear it over dresses, t-shirts, dressier tops (like the Elsa) and so much more! The neutral color with the metallic gold threading also makes it such a stunning statement paired with gold accessories. It’s simply too amazing to pass up. It also comes in navy.
And although it’s on sale for $14 and almost sold out, I have to mention this tee that’s so extremely soft. I searched and searched for a similar olive tee to share with y’all and couldn’t find one. So, if you’ve been wanting one and your size is still available in this one, grab it up now!
And lastly, I have to give my favorite shoes for fall a mention. These pointed toe leopard slides are amazing. The word amazing simply does not do them justice. They are so comfortable and are the prettiest, vibrant leopard print. What I love most about them is the gorgeous gold hammered heel. I fell in love with these online and even more so when they arrived. They add the perfect pop of leopard to so many looks. I couldn’t recommend them enough 🙂
Okay that’s it for my ramblings for today. This post ended up being longer that I had planned (oops). I hope y’all have a great Tuesday! I have my third pickle ball class today, and I’m pretty excited. It is turning out to be even more fun than I had imagined (although I still pretty much stink at it haha). I’ll keep y’all posted and let y’all know when I finally become a pickle ball champ lol!
Delightfully Yours,
