Red Knot Front Dress For Valentines Day

Happy Thursday, friends! Does this dress look familiar? Yes, I styled it back in the fall in the most gorgeous hunter green color (see the post here). Well, I love it so much that I decided to purchase it in red also! I wore this beauty multiple times during the holidays, but I thought it would be perfect to bring back for Valentines Day as well. I could not begin to say enough good things about this dress. First off, the knot front detail is simply gorgeous! Next I would have to mention the silhouette. It’s so classy, making this piece perfect for so many occasions. I think it would be the ideal Valentines Day dress. If you have a date planned or just plan on going out to celebrate “Galentines” Day with your girlfriends, I feel like you need this dress in your life 🙂 Madeline will always be my little Valentine (or I guess I should say Galentine). We don’t have any fancy plans haha, but if we did, I would for sure wear this number. You could also do this dress in black and pair it with pink pumps and a pink lip color for a gorgeous Valentines Day look.

Next, I think it’s important to mention the sizing info for this dress! As always, this brand does run on the smaller side due to European sizing. I always go up one size from my normal with this brand. However, I ended up going up two sizes for this dress and am so happy I did. Here’s why. I ended up going up just one size, as I normally do, with the green. I was fine with the sizing, but I felt like the slit in the front kept popping open more, which required me to wear a bandeau underneath. But with going up two sizes in the red, I found that did not happen at all and did not need to wear a bandeau underneath. You can untie and re-tie the knot in the front, so the waist is pretty much adjustable. If that weren’t the case, the US 6 (which is a 2-4 in this brand) would have been too large and I would have needed to go back down to a US 4 (which is a 0-2). That’s just my take on this dress and what I recommend. If you love and want this dress, I’d suggest ordering both just to see which you prefer. 

One last thing I have to mention. I love this dress so much that I was planning on ordering it in the royal blue as well. It’s soooo gorgeous! They also came out with a top version of this dress. I immediately ordered it and knew it would probably be my favorite top ever. Well, I was wrong. With the top, they decided to make it an open back. Why they did that, I have no idea. I love the back zipping all the way up. I would have had to wear a bandeau underneath (I felt may look weird this this top) or else do a sticky bra, which completely wouldn’t work for me. So, the top went back. If the open back works for you, then I’m sure you’d love the top version of this dress! As I mentioned, I wanted to order the royal blue color in this dress as well, but I noticed that with it being the newest color, they again decided to make it an open back. So, it won’t work for me. Such a bummer! The red, hunter green and black colors zip all the way up. So, I may order the black because it would definitely be the most amazing LBD! I just had to mention this because if you’re like me, you may not realize that the back is exposed in the top version and royal blue color of this dress until it comes in the mail and you try it on. I so hope that they continue to bring this dress back in more colors but with the back zipping up all the way. 

Whew that’s a lot of information on one dress haha. I hope that is helpful! Again, this is most definitely one of my favorite dress purchases of all time. I couldn’t recommend it enough. Oh and one more thing, if you’re looking for the perfect Valentine gift OR if you need a gift idea to put into your Valentine’s ear, this “I Love You” Yurman bracelet would be absolute perfection! From one angle, it simply looks like a gold design on the bracelet. From another, it reads “I Love You.” My Mama and Madeline gave this to me for Mother’s Day last year, and it has been such a special piece for me.
