Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018: Beauty Purchases and Favorites

Hello friends and happy Wednesday! Today I’m so excited to be sharing which beauty sets I purchased from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Trust me when I say they’re SO good. I was not only amazed at how many of my go-to products by brands I love are included in the sale this year, but also the size product you receive. I purchased six sets total and was able to stock up on several new lip colors, an amazing (full sized) highlighter, a new eye and cheek palette and more. Below, I’ll be sharing details on each set I purchased, why I love them, why it’s such a great deal and more. And after that, I’ll also be sharing some of my other favorite beauty picks. 

MAC Lip Trio (Pink // Nude)

The MAC Lip Trio is the first NSale beauty product I reach for in the NSale each year. It never fails to impress me! I love MAC lip products for many reasons. The colors are fabulous, they go on silky smooth, they smell great and they last me for forever. I always find myself wearing a nude or pink lip (or falling somewhere in between the two). I have found more pink and nude lips colors I love by MAC more than any other beauty brand. Well, the NSale lip trios are back this year and better than ever. This year, you get TWO full sizes lip colors and a full sized lip gloss to pair with either. One MAC lip color normally costs around $18 and a lipgloss usually costs around $17. But you get two lip colors and a gloss for $36! Such a great buy. The pinks and nudes are absolutely gorgeous! If you are going to choose one beauty product from the NSale. I’d say get your hands on a MAC lip trio. And this year for the NSale, they also have the mini sized set where you get a mini lip color and a mini lipgloss for $17. So perfect for your purse!

Charlotte Tilbury The Pretty Pink Lipstick Set

Another brand of lip products I love is Charlotte Tilbury. When I’m asked about what lip color I’m wearing, 90% of the time I will say that the lip liner I’m wearing is Charlotte Tilbury “Pillow Talk”. Well, that’s the liner that is included in this NSale set this year. You also receive TWO full sized lip colors, “Blushing Dream” and “Rose Kiss”. They are both absolutely beautiful and give you a warm, pinky, nude lip. They also mix so well together. This combo is what I was wearing in this post. Normally, one lip cheat liner costs $22 and each lipstick costs $34. But you get two full sized lip colors and a full sized liner for $60 in this set. 

Stila Glitter Eyeshadow Set

Here is yet another go-to product of mine included in the Anniversary Sale this year. Y’all have probably heard me talk about and rave over the Stila liquid eyeshadows. I absolutely love to put them over my lid after I have applied my other eye shadows to complete the look. I adore a dash of glitter. And let me tell y’all, these colors are phenomenal!!! I am now hooked on the color “smoky storm” from this set (the swatch on the far left on my hand). It’s gorrrrgeous! I’m also wearing it in this post layered over the shadows I’ll be talking about next. Anyways, the “Gold Goddess” color is amazing as well and is the perfect gold. I have yet to try the “Kitten” color, but it looks beautiful as well. These glitter shadows are SO fun. I get stopped all the time with people asking what they are. One of these usually costs $24, but for $35, you get THREE full sized shadows in this set. 

Laura Mercier Eye and Cheek Palette

Here is yet another NSale beauty product that I cannot say enough good things about. This entire palette is only $65 and is a $124 value. These shadows are so gorgeous. I’m actually wearing all four in the second column over to create the look I’m wearing in this post. Then I added the “Smoky Storm” glitter from the set I mentioned above to top it off. I also LOVE the two blushes included in this palette. I’m personally not a fan of the Laura Mercier bronzer (bottom right hand corner of this palette) because I don’t think it’s pigmented enough, but It’s great if you don’t want as dark of a bronzer. Overall, I adore this palette and highly recommend it for the eyeshadows and blushes included. 

Becca Cosmetics Parisian Glow Set

I’ll admit, I wasn’t sure if I’d love this set when I purchased it. But upon the first time using it, I immediately became obsessed! This set is sooooo beautiful! I use three Becca products in my daily routine: my highlighter, primer and under eye brighter. Well this set is packed full of amazing products. First off, you get a nice size backlight primer. This has been my favorite primer for about three months now. It adds the most radiant glow to your skin. Next up in this set, you receive a FULL SIZED, most stunning highlighter. I loveee Becca highlighters. This one is a gorgeous golden pink highlighter. I absolutely adore it. In this set, you also receive a mini sized blurring powder (perfect for your purse) and a gorgeous full sized lip gloss in “Rose Quartz.” I’m telling y’all, this set is so beautiful. I’m SO happy I purchased it. A Becca highlighter along normally costs $38. And this size Backlight primer usually costs $18. This sized lipgloss usually costs $22. You get this entire set for $46. I’m pretty sure this set gives you the very most for your money. It’s amazing.
