Easy Crockpot Cubed Steak

Hi friends and happy Thursday! I’m back with an easy dinner idea to share with y’all. Last year (it feels so weird saying that haha), I attempted to start a series (in my efforts to simplify life) of sharing easy crockpot dinners. It’s such a relief to be able to throw something together in a crockpot and let it cook all day. And speaking of, this one will make your home smell AMAZING as it cooks all day. Anyways, I’m going to try sharing more of these in 2022. As I build up some recipe content to share, my plan is to share them every other Thursday. If you missed my first one, you can check out our sweet & sour meatballs here. Today I’m excited to share another go-to recipe in our rotation: easy crockpot cubed steak. It’s so easy, and the simple ingredients will make your mouth water. It’s definitely one of those you can throw together, let cook for the day and not worry about. I’ll also be sharing the steps over on my IG in a reel, if y’all want to check that out 🙂

Here’s what you’ll need:
– 6 cubed steaks
– half a teaspoon of pepper
– generous amount of garlic salt (or desired amount)
– 1 peeled onion sliced into rings
– could also add bell peppers and/or mushrooms would be great as well
– 1 can of cream of chicken soup
– 1 can of cream of celery soup
– half a can of water
– 1 packet of Lipton onion soup mix
– 1/4 a teaspoon of pepper for the soup mixture

Step One: Place three of the cubed steaks in the crockpot (you add it in layers)
Step two: Coat the steaks in garlic salt
Step Three: Sprinkle with pepper (I do half a tsp. each layer)
Step Four: Layer on sliced onions (and/or bell peppers, mushrooms, etc.)
*Then add your next layer of steaks and repeat above steps*

Step Six: Add half a can of water
Step Seven: Sprinkle in 1/4 a teaspoon of pepper
Step Eight: Mix together and pour over steaks in crockpot

Step Nine: My favorite step, top with the Lipton Onion Soup Mix
Once steps are completed, set your crockpot to low and cook for six hours.

It really is so yummy and as I mentioned above, smells WONDERFUL! I like to serve it with mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli.
