Weekend Wrap Up

I hope y’all have had a great week.  I wanted to do a little weekend wrap-up.  I feel like it has been a productive week all while adding school back to my plate.  What have I learned this week?  I was thinking about my time management, and it’s funny.  Although I am a mama now and Mine and Madeline’s schedule can be so wacky, I’ve actually learned to manage time so much better than before I was a mama.  This week proved that for me.  My mindset is always on Madeline, so I know what has to be done for her no matter what and what’s best for her.  I think this has happened by me allowing just a certain amount of time to do the little things (like taking a shower while she naps and such).  And I’ve also learned to cut out all the silly things in life that I’d waste too much time on before I was a mama.  Motherhood is just the most amazing job ever.  You learn so much in such a short amount of time.  And I get to do it all for such a precious baby girl.
There are two things I have to say about what I’m wearing in this picture: Chew Beads & Baby Carrier.  This is how I do just about everything these days.  Madeline always wants to be held (I’m not complaining because there is nothing I’d rather do that snuggle her).  But I have tried so many different seats for her, and this is a winner because she can be so close to me, and I can use both hands.  And chew beads?  I never thought I would give in and buy these.  But I did, and it ended up being a great decision.  She’s gotten to where she loves to hold on to my necklaces (and tries to put them in her mouth).  So I wear chew beads around the house, and Madeline loves them.

Here’s one final thought, and I’ll leave y’all with this: There are so many times when I find myself feeling weary and wondering if I can “just make it through.” But God knows what is best, when we need it, and how to bring it about.  He is faithful through and through.

I hope everyone has had a great weekend so far!
Delightfully Yours,

  1. I love this picture of you and Madeline! I have three sons in college this fall, so I know how busy school can be. You sound like you are off to a great start managing motherhood and school. Wishing you the best in the coming school year!!
